Why an e-Store: We receive lots of questions about what we would buy for XYZ, or where we would buy a certain product. As much as we would like to answer everyone's questions, it takes a lot of time and effort. What we wanted was a way to get something in return, without any cost to you. Working together with established companies we are setting up an e-Store that contains the products we recommend. We use our experience with what works to filter dizzying amount of information on the internet into a set of products we would buy. We think shopping at our e-Store will save you both time and money -- all you have to do is shop via our links.

Our Philosophy: Despite how it may appear we are not a fully loaded gadget boat. Our navigation system is based around a hand held GPS and we don't even have our autopilot networked to it. We try to do things in not just the simplest way, but in a manner that also allows us the most flexibility and redundancy. We've seen BBQs based around a freezer thaw just because the genset went down. Get the boat safe, your sailing skills tuned, the crew comfortable (both mentally and physically), and go.

STOP Shopping and GO: Do you really need everything we mention or put into our Amazon store? Absolutely not! We have gone through our boat from top to bottom, and created a list of things that work well for us with a description as to why. What we are trying to do is get you thinking about what you might need; perhaps you'll see something and say ah-ha, yes that would be handy. We have seen too many potential cruisers stalled on the dock because they felt the boat wasn't ready ... they just needed a few more things. You don't need everything little thing that every person suggests, in the end you will manage and find your way. So if you are finding yourselves continuously saying, just one more thing, we have only one recommendation - just go. Cruising is one great big learning experience. You'll never be fully ready, no matter how long you wait or how much stuff you add to your boat.
